I have taught thousands of yoga classes (Hatha, relaxation, Candlelight, childrens’, Power etc) but there is one pose that I incorporate into every single one: The Tree Pose. A Yoga class without this powerful pose would just not work. I usually like to do a warm-up to begin the class and then head into some balance poses with Tree being the first one. It sets the stage for bringing balance to our mind, body and spirit and improves self-confidence.
* stretches inner thighs, groin, shoulders
* strengthens thighs, calves, core, foot muscles and posture
* calms and relaxes mind (central nervous system)
* develops balance and mind/body awareness
Remember: great balance is earned, not given.
